Barn of Barrington

The Barn of Barrington is located in Barrington, IL.  At one time it was a grand banquet hall that provided a Sunday brunch, an award winning restaurant and was a popular place for weddings and wedding receptions.  When it was open, they held over 200 weddings per year.  It has sat empty and abandoned for over a year.  The brick housing has started to crumble, the barn itself shows signs of weather damage and the old silo is begining to crumble.  I first stumbled upon this place in November of 2009 when I had just taken up photography and I stopped and took a few shots.  These pictures were taken on Halloween 2010.  Almost nothing has changed in a year since I had been here last. I have tried to capture the essence of it's former glory days and I hope you can see some of that through my photos.
